Gondoltam a honlapra talán hír értékű, hogy nov. 20-21-én a romániai CF szövetség meghívására 2 napos továbbképzést tartok Bukarestben.

The date is suitable for me.

I planned a two days course. In the morning should be the theory, in the afternoon the practice together with the patients and physiotherapists from your country. So it is important to find patients with very similar sputum culture. I mean only infected by Staphylococcus aurius or Pseudomonas aeruginosa, but not multiresistant Pseudomonas. And we must ask for the patients infected by MRSA or Burkholderia Cepacia not to join us. I think 3 or 4 treatment places with 3-4 patients enough but of course it could more physiotherapists. It would be useful if we are able to treat one patient in horizontal (supine or side-lying) position, the others in sitting. If the organization of the practice is difficult there will be theory alone, but the course would be much more useful with the practice instead of without it.

The topics are as follows:
I) Anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system from the point of view of the practice.
II) Breathing exercise, respiratory muscle training
III) Inhalation treatment: medicines, equipments, in and outpatient daily physiotherapy treatment plan, hygienic rules
IV) Expectoration techniques and equipments:
1 Conventional chest physiotherapy
2 Treating newborns and toddlers
3 Positive expiratory pressure (PEP) High pressure PEP (HiPEP)
4 Oscillating PEP: Flutter, Acapella, R-C Cornett
5 Autogenic drainage (AD), Assisted Autogenic Drainage (AAD), modified autogenic drainage (MAD) – DVD presentation
6 Active cycle of breathing techniques (ACBT),
7 High frequency Chest Wall Oscillation (HFCWO)
V) Physical activity
VI) Keep on motivation

I need only a computer with a projector and two loudspeakers for the AD DVD presentation. Before the course I send some slides from my .ppt to try the compability.

From Serbia they offered 200 Euros for the two days course and I accepted it. So it remains the same if it is acceptable for you.
